We could not be more excited to share this McColl Center Wedding with you all! The whole style and feel of this wedding was so unique and beautiful. McColl Center is one of the coolest venues we have seen. It is located right in the heart of Uptown Charlotte next to the Charlotte Ballet.
The McColl Center used to previously be a Church, which is very evident when you enter the building. Prior to opening as an artist residency, there was large fire that left it completely gutted. Now it holds artists work and provides them with an area to create. It also holds events and weddings!
The ceremony and reception space is on the first floor complete with white and exposed brick walls. Our favorite spot in this beautiful venue is a stone structure behind the church. It is an open-air structure that has some over grown plants. We knew we wanted most of our portraits with Kevin and Jordan to be there!
The big day was here and we met Jordan at an Air BnB to capture her getting ready photos. We made our way to the venue to get these two married! Jordan came down the aisle with her Dad and it was such a beautiful moment. They said, “I do” under a beautiful, cascading floral arrangement by the talented Heatherly Event Design.
After the ceremony, we stole them away for photos! They were so sweet and perfect together. It was time to get them back inside to celebrate with their friends and family. The night ended with a picture perfect sparkler exit. We followed them out as they walked through Uptown Charlotte to go back to their hotel.
