We are so excited to share our first engagement session of 2019! This beautiful Clark’s Creek Greenway engagement took place in Charlotte, North Carolina. Full of footbridges and trees, this location is a gorgeous backdrop for photos.
We were first introduced to Kellie through Amanda at Magnificent Moments Weddings Planning and Design. Magnificent Moments is an amazing wedding planning company! We had the pleasure of working with them previously and they without a doubt do a flawless job.
As we planned Kellie and Patrick’s engagement session, they selected a nature setting because it was most similar to where they got engaged. Kellie and Patrick got engaged while hiking through Seven Devils with beautiful mountain views. They knew they wanted a similar feeling for their engagement photos. Clark’s Creek was the perfect spot.

The day leading up to the session Patrick reached out to me because he wanted to surprise Kellie with a new engagement ring during the session. It was the perfect plan because the session was going to take place on Valentine’s Day. He wanted me to prompt them towards the beginning of the session to “recreate” their engagement so he could get down on one knee without throwing her off. I loved the idea!!
The day arrived and we were so excited to finally meet them both in person. We set them up to take some shots on the greenway to warm them up. Earlier in the day they had stopped by their jeweler to clean the rings so he had the original ring box with them in her purse.
After a few minutes, I prompted them to recreate their engagement for us so we could stage a photo. Patrick ran over to her purse to grab the original box to really recreate it. As he bent down on one knee and opened the box, Kellie was completely shocked to see a new gorgeous ring inside. Her face said it all!
To say it was a beautiful moment is an understatement. Her face completely lit up. We continued this sweet Valentine’s Day session and captured beautiful memories for them to always be able to look back on.
We can’t wait for their big day this year! It is sure to be beautiful and emotional!
