We just finished up this beautiful engagement session at The Ivy Place! We first met Stephanie and James through a bridal show and eventually reconnected to shoot their engagement session this month.
Originally we were going to shoot the day prior but it was non-stop raining. We had to postpone one day but it was totally worth it! By some miracle it wasn’t freezing and we managed to get a beautiful day to shoot this couple’s engagement session at The Ivy Place, which was a huge difference from the day before. We started by heading down the trail towards the large oak tree out in the field.
These two were a dream to work with! They kept each other laughing the entire time and were so much fun to be around. They were down to traipse through the mud and tall grass and didn’t worry about it at all. After walking down the trail we made a pit stop at the barn and captured some sweet photos of the two of them.
On our way to the tree, there is an old car which immediately made us want to stop and get some shots! After that we made it to the tree. This tree is my favorite!! It is insane how tall and big it is and is such a cool place to do a session in. We danced and captured some beautiful moments between the two of them.
We made our way back towards the house and went over to the gardens. The Ivy Place has some many different nooks that you don’t even realize are there. We finished up our session in front of the house.
This engagement session was a perfect way to end our 2018 season! Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Sheedy!! You are sure to have a life full of laughter and love!
