Destination Beach Wedding at Private Home in St. Petersburg, Florida

When you dream of your wedding day, you don’t think all of your hard planning will change at the very last minute. In the middle of hurricane season in Florida, this is always a sad possibility. Florida is such a dream destination wedding location for a couple. Because of the sun, beaches, and palm trees, it’s the perfect place for a wedding. This past year however, Hurricane Irma came through and destroyed many parts of Florida. Unfortunately, Key West was an area of huge impact.

For Megan and Quentin, Key West was going to be the backdrop for their fairytale wedding. Once Hurricane Irma hit, they had to uproot all of their plans. Their location fell through and so did their original photographer. Fate intervened and we were connected with this couple through their florist. Typically, we are known as Charlotte wedding photographers but we love the chance to be able to travel and do what we love. We were able to travel down to St. Petersburg, Florida and be there to photograph this couple’s special day. They found a private home in St. Petersburg, Florida that overlooked the ocean to be the new backdrop of their dream wedding.

Along with their closest family members, Megan and Quentin travelled to Florida to say “I do.” When we arrived, it was evident how special this day was going to be. Megan’s father was going to be the officiant for their private beach ceremony. If that wasn’t special enough, her daughter would be escorting Megan down the aisle. When you get to be there to see everything finally come together for this amazing couple, it becomes very clear that their was so much love surrounding them. They were not going to let anything stop this wedding day from happening and we are so thankful that we got to be a part of it.
