The Island House Wedding in Charleston, South Carolina

This beautiful destination summer wedding took place at The Island House in Johns Island, South Carolina. We have had the pleasure of knowing Elisabeth and Hector for years, which made photographing their wedding all the more special. These two met and fell in love in Charlotte, North Carolina. Because they love Charleston, South Carolina, it was the perfect backdrop for their wedding day. This Island House Wedding took place on the river and had the most gorgeous field of wildflowers you have ever seen! Because of this, it couldn’t of been more picturesque.

The Island House Wedding First Look

Elisabeth and Hector chose to do a first look before taking all of their photos with their bridal party. Near the waterside under a beautiful oak tree, the couple got to see each other before the ceremony in such a special moment. It was the perfect start to this perfect day. The bridal party travelled to Battery Park in Charleston, South Carolina before the outdoor wedding ceremony. While they were there, they took their pre-ceremony photos together.

The Island House Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Because friends and family travelled from North Carolina, Ohio, and even Panama, it made this day so special. While they exchanged their vows, all of their favorite people looked on with tears. One of their closest friends pronounced them husband and wife. To say everyone was ready to celebrate this couple after the ceremony, is an understatement. Everyone danced the entire night away and enjoyed every minute of this fun reception. The bridesmaids even planned a surprise flash mob for the couple! Everyone was joining in by the end of it! To finish off this perfect day, everyone gathered together to send the couple off. They left the reception in a glow stick exit! Between the sweet ceremony and the huge party, it is safe to say they started their marriage off in the best way!
