Last summer we decided we wanted to plan out a Charlotte wedding inspired shoot with some of our favorite color palettes and vendors that we hand selected. Immediately we knew Jill from Pink Pelican Weddings would be our florist. She is such a talent and blows you away every time you see her creations!
Because we were in the planning stages, we wanted to take the time to make sure we found exactly what we were looking for. Fast forward a week to a wedding we were photographing, where we met Ashley from Wink Inspired Beauty. She did the hair and make-up for one of our beautiful brides and we immediately knew we wanted to work with her again. She is insanely talented!
Slowly, things were coming together but we knew we had to find the perfect location. After searching and seeing photos of Ritchie Hill in Concord we knew we wanted to shoot there. It ties in perfectly with our bright and airy look and would look gorgeous with the colors we were using. We reached out and spoke to Sydney who could seriously not be more wonderful to work with! She even put us in touch with Elegant and Classy Events to use for the rentals for the table scape.
For the invitation suite, we got in touch with Blush and Ivy Shop. Kim and Stephanie run an online custom wedding invitation company with the most beautiful products. They gave us endless options to choose to fit with the style we wanted and couldn’t have been more amazing to work with.
THE CAKE. We knew instantly whom we wanted to work with to do this cake. Nona’s Sweets has the most amazing cake you have ever tasted. We had the absolute pleasure of tasting this cake at a wedding we photographed at Alexander Homestead and it was unbelievable. Dominica is such a talent and she surpasses what you imagine.
After locking in everything, we had to find our bride. After searching, we came across a Charlotte blogger who is beyond gorgeous and unbelievably sweet! Rebekah was the perfect bride to bring this shoot to life!
We are so thankful for the people that brought this shoot to life. They worked so hard to bring this Charlotte wedding shoot to life and we couldn’t be luckier to work alongside them. After all the hard work, we choose to submit this shoot to be a feature in The Carolinas Magazine. They picked it to be a part of their Winter/Spring issue for 2019!! You can order the magazine online here, or visit Barnes and Noble to pick up a copy. Carl and Michelle are outstanding. They spend so much time to making this magazine a success and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it.
